Our journey began in 2017 with a humble initiative a small school in Nilakanthapur, Kendrapara. What started with limited resources but a strong vision soon became a place of hope for children who lacked access to education.
In 2018, this initiative took a formal shape as Aakankshya Charitable Trust, with a mission to extend this impact beyond classrooms. Since then, we have been continuously working to empower individuals through education, skill development, and compassionate service.
We believe education is a birthright, not a privilege and through compassion and knowledge, we aim to uplift every life we touch.

Before Aakankshya Charitable Trust was formally established in 2018, its foundation had already been laid through action.
In April 2017, a small school was started in Nilakanthapur, Kendrapara, the homeland of our Chairperson, Mrs. Kalyani Nayak.
What began as a humble initiative soon became a space of hope for children who lacked access to basic education. With limited resources but unwavering determination, this effort marked the true beginning of our journey.
As our efforts grew, so did our vision.
Under the guidance of Mrs. Kalyani Nayak, a trained tailor associated with Jana Sikhyana Sanstha (JSS) since 1998, we expanded into skill development, especially for women.
Through training and mentorship, individuals are empowered to become self-reliant, creating sustainable livelihoods and stronger communities.
Today, Aakankshya Charitable Trust stands as a growing initiative rooted in compassion, education, and responsibility.
While education and skill development remain at our core, we are now expanding into healthcare and broader social welfare initiatives, working towards holistic community development.
We are committed to building a future where every individual has the opportunity to learn, grow, and live with dignity.
We provide access to education for children from underserved communities, helping them build a strong foundation for a brighter and more secure future.
We train individuals especially women with practical skills, enabling them to become self-reliant and financially independent.
